For the Immortal Regiment march in Vienna
Memorial banners made in previous years are kept by the organisers. New banners can be made at home following the instructions on this website, or with help from the organisers.
Make a memorial banner with help from the organisers
The organisers can help with the mount and the board, but you will need to print the veteran's portrait yourself. To do this:
- Prepare the veteran's photograph on the website of the online banner designer of the International Immortal Regiment: https://polk.press/shtender
- Print the resulting file in A3 format and have it laminated at a print shop
- Contact the organisers through the chatbot below and let us know that you need a pole for your banner
- On 9 May, at the start of the march, the organisers will attach the photograph you printed to the board for the march.

How do I make a memorial banner myself?
A veteran's banner is easy to make at home. For example:
- First create the image of the veteran (name, rank, years of life) on https://polk.press/shtender
- The simplest option next is to buy a transparent L-shaped document folder at a stationery shop (Müller, Interspar), print the veteran's photograph and slip it inside
- Buy a picture frame
- Along with the frame, take a pole and two furniture brackets (see the picture and the video below)

Collect a banner kept in storage
The organisers keep the portraits (memorial banners) of the veterans listed below. If you would like to receive one of these banners, contact the organisers (by chat) and give the name of the veteran. You will be handed it at the start of the event, before the Immortal Regiment march:
